Remember Spoken word (click to hear poem live)

I cant remember the last time my eyes were opened kissing you
Our two souls peek through a mask looking for a clue
Your body is a map that leads me to the promised land
Together and alone I have trudged through the sinking sand

I cant remember the last time I was aroused by your smell
My animal spirit hides licking its wounds waiting till all is well
Your voice is a fragrance others cant resist and adore
Im back to the streets to survive dressed up like a whore

I cant remember the last time I breathed when you are around
Tattooed fear reminds me not to speak or make a sound
Your mind made friends with deceit who visits from time to time
She tries hard to convince us that Im only worth a dime

I cant remember the last time I smiled without covering my face
My beauty was traded for many dreams you tried to chase
Your energy thrust deep into me creating memories until I die
Please excuse me while I take a moment to cry

Naked, Oh so warm and new
I come from the dark and into the dew

Light reflects, Twinkles all over my skin
Revealing many shadows, Its time to begin

Energy, I am bursting like the sun
my existence is shared by everyone

A voice calls, come back there is more
Lost in the tunnels of life looking for a door

My soul hidden in this maze of flesh
guiding me towards the exit death

Naked, Oh so cold and frozen in time
Awake in the dark waiting for the sunshine

Waiting For Superman website

For a nation that proudly declared it would leave no child behind, America continues to do so at alarming rates. Despite increased spending and politicians’ promises, our buckling public-education system, once the best in the world, routinely forsakes the education of millions of children.

Filmmaker Davis Guggenheim reminds us that education “statistics” have names: Anthony, Francisco, Bianca, Daisy, and Emily, whose stories make up the engrossing foundation of WAITING FOR SUPERMAN. As he follows a handful of promising kids through a system that inhibits, rather than encourages, academic growth, Guggenheim undertakes an exhaustive review of public education, surveying “drop-out factories” and “academic sinkholes,” methodically dissecting the system and its seemingly intractable problems.

However, embracing the belief that good teachers make good schools, and ultimately questioning the role of unions in maintaining the status quo, Guggenheim offers hope by exploring innovative approaches taken by education reformers and charter schools that have—in reshaping the culture—refused to leave their students behind.

The Waiting for Superman Movie is an eye opening experience you wont want to miss, Meet the people that are fighting for change and are speaking up for our kids. listen to what kids really feel in America about there education and future.

I wish the teachers and their union would fight not just for their money and benefits. And consider fighting for our kids to be educated in new and upcoming education in technology to build a future for our kids. I don’t think any of my 5 Children have been educated in new technology to survive or for their future so they could freely question and address things to help them make decisions for themselves and their country.

My tax money has been wasted paying wages to many of the teachers that dont care  about what or how they teach to prepare our kids for their future. Kids can learn more from a computer these days. I think the collage situation in America is a joke too. Kids are not able to get a job when they get out of college to even pay their school debt. Other countries Governments pay for their kids college education to make them strong. If the United States, Oprah, Gates or any billionaire payed the bill for education I would hope they would make sure the education our kids get is for up and coming jobs to strengthen our economy.

I ask why other countries can see the value of having good teachers that teach new technology to educate their children and we do not ? Why is it ok with us that other countries can send their thousands of educated kids to the USA for jobs in companies to do the jobs our kids cant do because they are not educated enough  to do these jobs in their own country? Our companies move to other countries so they get the cheaper workers and up and coming educated workers. Take a look  sometime at what you’re getting for your money. Why are we all getting into debt paying for schools and teachers with old ideas and old technology? We have the resources in America to do more than we are to teach our children. Look at Africa’s schools with dirt floors and caring teachers. Other countries educate their people with small funds. Why are we wasting the money we have that should be spent for our kids education?

I think if cuts have to be made and benefits reduced by our goverment more money should be used to update our kids education so our kids get what is needed for them to survive for once. The fight should not just be about the teachers salary or benefits. A job these days is hard to come by and our country is sick and needs everyone to wake up to strengthen the core. What about the kids and the kind of education they are getting? It does not compare with Japan’s advanced Technology. China is the main product producer including the largest producer of Industrial Hemp.  India leads in computer technology. Europe, in Natural health and medical. And the list goes on.

Our kids deserve good teachers and a healthy learning environment, The caring teachers are our only hope for Americas future and these teachers should be paid fairly. But the bad teachers need to be let go. We in America should be ashamed at what our kids are being expected to swallow everyday at school, We need to look deeper into why students shoot guns at schools.

I am sick of the TV News stories about teachers that are bullys. And why are there so many bored teachers with sexual appetites toward our kids? What is wrong with this picture? When a school is sued for a bad teachers mistakes do we pay for it with our taxes after the teacher is fired? Is the heavy union costs giving our Kids what they need ? What is the union protecting? Where is the accountability to our kids and our hard working dollar?
